The welcome program for the new Grade XI students and 26th NEF Day of Xavier Academy took place at Alice Receptions on August 1, 2023. The MC’s cheeringly greeted everyone present. The program started by lighting of panas and everyone stood up for the National and Xavier anthem. It was a fun filled event where students performed group dances and band played wonderful songs. The MC’s asked Chief guest Ms. Meekha Mathema to speak a few words She gave a glimpse of her life and encouraged students to pursue their dreams. We were then introduced to the contestants for Mr. and Miss Fresher. They showcased their talents through songs, dances and speech. Pratyush Maharjan and Trishna Manandhar were declared as Mr. and Miss Fresher by the judges. Chairperson Dr. Sriram Bhagut Mathe mentioned the huge number of schools in the present year’s admission and energized the students for the coming year. Principal Mrs. Rashmi Sharma Mainali warmly welcomed students to the Xavier family. Everyone sang birthday song for Vice Principal Mr. Prakash Shrestha as his birthday fell on the very day. Veteran biology teacher, Mrs. Prabha Parajuli was also offered gratitude and acknowledged for her service. After much fun, the program ended and everyone proceeded for lunch.
