Dear Prospective Students,

Choosing the right college to cater to your aspirations is a very difficult choice. Xavier Academy does not claim to be the best college in the country, but its tract record of 12 years of academic excellence certainly places it in the category of one of the best colleges in the country. Before you make your choice of college, please do go through this and do visit us and discuss with us. I wish to assure you that if you choose our college, we will make every effort to justify your trust in us and to meet your expectations so that you can do well in your further studies and career of your choice. I hope you will go through the following milestones to understand what Xavier Academy has achieved from the very inception.

1997 : Xavier Academy opened its academic portals to 48 excited students (whom we fondly call the "pioneer" batch), their nervous parents, who were a bit uncertain about entrusting their wards to a brand, new academic institution, and equally nervous faculty and administrative staff, who were anxious about the future of Xavier Academy. Adopting the motto "Academic Excellence and Individual Advancement", Xavier Academy has, from the very inception, relished the challenge of making a positive impact in higher secondary education sector in Nepal.

1998 : The pioneer batch completes its first year of +2 studies achieving 100% pass rate in science and 80% in commerce. The student enrollment increases to 281. Xavier Academy offers B. Sc. in environmental science. 45 students enroll for this course.

1999 : The pioneer batch completes its second year of +2 studies, achieving 94% pass rate in science and almost 83% in commerce. The total student enrollment increases to 389.

2002 : In the 5th year of operations of Xavier Academy, Xavier Academy continues to excel in academics. Xavier Academy introduces itself as an institution that cares about its students, by adopting the motto "The Institution that Cares". Xavier Academy phases out B. Sc. Environmental Science and phases in BBS. The total student enrollment increases to 399.

2007 : Xavier Academy celebrates its 10th Anniversary, organizing a 2 day Anniversary Programme for the students, former students, parents and well-wishers. XA's enrollment reaches 627. XA is rightfully proud of completing 10 years of academic excellence. Since the start of ranking, XA has been consistently ranked in the top ten +2 Higher Secondary institutions in Nepal. XA recommits itself to meet the challenges of the next decade, and to continue to achieve academic excellence.

2008 : In its 11th year of operations, I return to Nepal, after completing 4 years of short-term intermittent inputs and 7 years of long term consulting assignment in Cambodia as International Team Leader of 5 different ADB and WB financed education projects. As the Executive Chairman of Nepal Education Foundation (NEF), I relish the challenge of reinvigorating NEF, the umbrella entity under which XA is operating, to take XA to new heights by rediscovering the pioneering XA spirit and to build strategic alliances.

2009 : Xavier Academy prepares to celebrate its 12th Anniversary by sprucing up the XA building, both exterior and interior, to make it more attractive and student-friendly, as well by re-energizing our capable and experienced human resources to meet the growing academic competition in the field of graduate and postgraduate studies. Xavier Academy, with the intention of expanding its academic operations, establishes a new entity "XAVIER ACADEMY COLLEGE OF GRADUATE STUDIES (XACGS)", which will focus on graduate and postgraduate studies, pre-service, in-service and post- service training, workshops and seminars, research, development and consulting activities. The 12th year of operations will be a watershed as XA once again commits to scale new academic heights in pursuit of academic excellence.

Over the past 12 years, Xavier Academy (XA), under the aegis of Nepal Education Foundation (NEF), has developed into one of the most reputed education institutions in Nepal. I wish to take this opportunity of thanking all, especially the students, who have contributed to the success of XA. The results have been consistently high, with the graduating class of 2007 achieving commendable results (94.1% pass rate in Science and 98.6% in Commerce) in the Class 12 HSEB exams. From the time that +2 institutions have been ranked nation-wise, Xavier Academy has been ranked in the top ten +2 institutions for the fifth year running till 2008. It is a matter of pride for all of us to be associated with an institution that is regarded by society as an education institution where academic excellence and total personality development really matter. XA is also propagating very effectively the message that it is an institution that cares. In this respect, XA is attempting to be different from other educational institutions.
I am happy that XA has always placed the students' interests first in formulating its academic programs and making decisions that affect the students' well-being. XA is fully aware that it has a corporate responsibility to produce well-rounded personalities who are able to contribute positively to societal growth and compete in this increasing globalized economic environment. As XA prepares to complete 12 years of academic excellence, XA is relishing the academic challenges of the coming years, as XA finalized plans to offer a variety of graduate and postgraduate studies. XA will continue to strive to ensure that no compromise is made in the quality of education it is imparting.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the students, parents, teachers and administrative staff and senior management of XA as well as all our well-wishers for contributing to the continued success of XA. We look forward to your constructive advice and encouragement in future as well.

Xavier Academy is one of the three educational institutions managed by Nepal Education Foundation, established in 1997 by a group of committed and proven educationists and entrepreneurs.

The main objective of Xavier Academy is to provide the students an enabling education environment, which will promote intellectual, academic, mental and physical growth and help today's youth mature into responsible and capable citizens of the country. To achieve these objectives, Xavier Academy have striven to be truly an "institution that cares" and at the same time be also known as the institution "where academic excellence and total personality development really matter". The above two mottos essentially capture the academic spirit of Xavier Academy, which underpin all our academic efforts of the past and will continue to guide us in the future.

As Xavier Academy, under a new entity, Xavier Academy College of Graduate Studies, plans to expand its academic programs in the coming years, the academic environment in XA will be very exciting and challenging. The competition amongst colleges has been really hotting up over the last few years, bordering on cut-throat competition to woo the potential students.
Xavier Academy does not subscribe to enrollment methods, which are ruthless, nor any method at any stage of education that will diminish the reputation and prestige of the college, as the XA family, including the Board Members, faculty and administrative staff, firmly believe that colleges are not only training grounds for empowerment through knowledge, but also to cultivate and develop moral integrity and leadership.
Xavier Academy commits itself fully to academic excellence and to attain this, Xavier Academy will in the coming years forge strategic alliances with reputable institutions all over the world.
